No matter if it’s “organic cane sugar”, sugar is sugar. Adding bananas, dates, cinnamon, or unsweetened applesauce to foods is a better approach to sweeten food naturally, as our bodies can better cope with natural rather than artificial foods.


These are all terms for sugar:

  • Sugar

  • Cane sugar

  • Sucrose

  • Fructose

  • Dextrose

  • Glucose

  • Maltose

  • Lactose

  • Sorbitol

  • Dextrin

  • Maltodextrin

  • Monosaccharides

  • Disaccharides

  • Agave

  • Honey

  • Corn syrup and corn syrup solids


Avoid artificial sweeteners, as they can cause stresses and imbalances in susceptible individuals.
